Hinkley Super Streets kick off the season tomorrow night with their Daytona 500 as they will run 75 laps in the Richardson Memorial Race presented by TrackSide Motorsport and Accessories. Nearly 30 cars are anticipated to qualify for this event. “Superman” Aaron Fellows is seeking to repeat as the division’s champion after winning 4 times last season but will face many familiar names from over the years at the speedway. Grandstands open at 4:30 pm and admission is $ 10 for ages 6 and up. The Casella Modifieds, Pepsi Limited Sportsman, and T-Bird Mini Mart Wildcats round out the card. The next event is the NorthEast Mini Stock tour on May 5. They will be running 50 green flag laps for $ 500 to win. The race at Claremont last year yielded the best car count of the season for the NEMST and some exciting racing. They will be joined by the R.E. Pit gates open at 10:00 AM with practice beginning at 11 AM and running until 5 PM. Hoosier race tires and Sunoco racing fuel will both be available for purchase. Race teams may also register their car if they have not as of yet. Last week, 30 drivers intending to run in the Newport Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series were in attendance. Grandstands will be open and admission is free. Concessions stands will also be in operation. The new season kicks off next Friday, April 28 with the Richardson Memorial 75 Lap Race for the R.E. ![]() Claremont Speedway fans and race teams enjoyed a beautiful day at the 3rd Annual Race Car Show hosted by The Home Depot yesterday as 24 race cars from the speedway as well as several go karts from the Claremont Karting Series, an entry for the North East Mini Stock Tour and three from the Granite State Mini Sprints were on display in front of hundreds of spectators. The Home Depot provided free hot dogs, popcorn, and water to all the show goers and raffle prizes to the race teams in attendance. The speedway had raffle prizes as well for the spectators including flags, banners, and grandstand admission passes. Best in Show awards were determined by several Home Depot Associates, and the winners for the speedway's four divisions were: T-Bird Mini Mart Wildcats - Samantha Stoddard Pepsi Limited Sportsman - Chris Colburn R.E. ![]() It is finally here!!! The kickoff to our 2017 season and we are excited about tomorrow’s car show at The Home Depot in Claremont, NH. We are anticipating over 30 race cars to be in attendance in addition to the Claremont Karting Series and some tour cars from visiting series. We will also be announcing our 2017 Weekly Racing Series partner at the show at 10 AM. Following the show, our first Test and Tune Session will be held at the speedway with hot laps beginning at 12:30. ![]() The first of three test and tune practices originally scheduled for this Saturday, April 8 has been canceled due to weather and track conditions. Race teams will still be able to purchase tires from 10 AM to 2 PM at the pit barn as well as register their cars for the upcoming season. There are still two other practice sessions scheduled with April 15 being the first. Pit gates open at 11:30 AM and practice kicking off at 12:30 PM. Practice will end at 5 PM. The last Saturday practice will be the following Saturday, April 22. Currently practice is scheduled for the pit gates to open at 10 AM and practice to start at 11 AM. Grandstand admission for all the practice sessions is free. |
