WHY CLAREMONT

While the track's name may have changed a time or two over that time span, generations of race fans and drivers have called the track nestled in the hills of Claremont, NH home during the summer months from 1947 to present day. From the humble days of friends racing in a field on the same property the track sits today, to the 1/4 mile dirt track where many of the northeast's legends began, to the 1/3 mile asphalt semi-banked oval where new stories are now written, Claremont Motorsports Park has withstood the test of time.

Loyal race fans and race teams continued supporting this facility even when it looked as if it were going to become extinct. New owners stepped in over the years, new race teams joined, and new generations of fans continue spending their Friday nights at the track.

We hope for your continued support with the Advance My Track Challenge with hopes to make some improvements for the fan and race team experience as we work to keep the gates open for another 75 years! The fans and race teams deserve it!

GROWING OUR SPORT

How do we continue to sustain what we have and how do we grow the sport for the next 75 years?

From autograph sessions, on-track parties and driver merchandise giveaways scheduled throughout the 2022 season to a feeder program on a smaller track on Sunday afternoons, we are committed to ensuring the sport stays alive at CMP either as a fan or racer!

Our Claremont Motorsports Karting Series races on Sunday afternoons during the year serving as the feeder program to the big track. Many drivers in the karting series have moved on to successful careers on the Friday nights, many still in high school now driving Late Model Sportsman or Mini Stocks. The series also runs a couple times a year on Friday night in front of the crowd with driver interviews on track for the fans to enjoy and support!

With future plans of a kids' zone with interactive activites such as changing tires and a history wall with our hall of fame members and track champions listed, we are always looking at new ways to engage and educate our future about the sport we love.

GROWING OUR COMMUNITY

Even though we have a tight-knit racing community at the track on Friday nights for the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series or on Sunday afternoons for the Claremont Motorsports Karting Series, our family supports the greater community and those in need.

Over the past six years, we have held a number of racing against cancer nights raising thousands of dollars for the Norris Cotton Cancer Center at Dartmouth Hitchcock in Lebanon, NH.

This year marked our 3rd annual toy drive for Kiwanis of Claremont, a local non-profit organization committed to serving the children and families in Sullivan County, NH.

We are proud of these efforts to support the communities around us!

GROWING OUR TRACK

While the track and facility have seen some upgrades over past decades, there are many needed improvements to enhance the fan and race team experience. From an updated sound system so the fans can better hear the track announcers, to new electrical work to support video streaming and the growth of services for the race fans at the track as well as remote, to small paving projects in the grandstand walkways to assist with handicap accessibility, these are a few projects which have been identified as future improvements on a long list.

As part of our community engagement plan, we are looking at the possibility of hosting non-racing related events to increase community awareness. Due to the pandemic, we have many new residents who have moved into Claremont and neighboring communities who do not know the speedway exists.

Drive-in movies at the track with an inflatable screen and projector so families can enjoy their time together, 10k road race events for the runners, as well as other out of the box ideas are aimed to increase awareness with hopes they choose to attend a race event or two.
